Acces

Visitors with reduced mobility have motorised access to the Cinquantenaire esplanade. They must present themselves at the barrier located at the junction of Rue de la Chevalerie and Avenue des Nerviens.

Unaccompanied visitors with reduced mobility can park on the esplanade, alongside the Aviation Hall. Please avoid parking in front of the entrance to the Aviation Hall to leave the emergency routes clear in the event of an evacuation.

Accompanied visitors with reduced mobility should be dropped off at the entrance for people with reduced mobility (Aviation Hall esplanade entrance), and accompanying persons should park in the car park alongside the Museum Art & Histort: to do this, go through the arcades, turn left at the end of the driveway, and left again after the building.

Be sure to clearly display your “Disabled” parking badge on the back of your windscreen to avoid fines!
To enter the museum, you need to make yourself known to the museum reception desk or the caretaker. Access for people with reduced mobility in wheelchairs is via the Aviation Hall.

Visit

Most Museum galleries are wheelchair accessible: they are either situated on the ground floor or accessible by means of an elevator (1919-1945 Gallery; upon request, see below) or an elevator platform (in the 1831-1914 gallery).
The Aviation Hall mezzanine (stairs), the section about the French Empire in the arcades (narrow elevator door (70 cm) and flight of stairs) and the galleries about the Second World War are not wheelchair accessible.

Please notify the main lobby staff upon arrival or call 02/737 78 11 during your visit to ask for assistance by our guards.

Interior circulation

Easy, with large hallways (a minimum of 120 cm).

Toilets

Dedicated toilets are available both on the ground floor (access through the hallway leading to the Aviation Hall) and on the upper floor (access through the 14-18 Gallery).

Both the Museum shop and the cafeteria are accessible to people with challenged mobility.

Dogs are not admitted, with the exception of service dogs.
